Can't stop listening to this album. It's getting mid-level reviews but so did Daft Punk's "Human After All" and countless other albums that people can't wrap their heads around for a year or two after release. It just has that...feel. In my opinion, SebastiAn's most accomplished work thus far. If you're looking for some SebastiAn-2010' paint-by-numbers glitchy played out horror electro schlock, then you're going to be disappointed, and odds are you're living in the past. You need to evolve. SebastiAn obviously has. There's a misfire here or there on this album but as a whole it's utterly compelling. There are moments of extreme ugliness and breathtaking beauty co-existing in the same audio landscapes of these songs that I find utterly fascinating. A lot of time went into this, and it's quite simply breathtaking. You can tell by the reviews that people love it or hate it, and I think that's a testament to the power of the album. If you hate it, then never listen to it again and be off with you. If you love it, like me, than enjoy and let's hope the next album doesn't take another 8 years... ...though I wouldn't mind the wait if it was as accomplished as Thirst.

Easily one of the top albums of the year for me. Flows beautifully from one song to the next and constantly surprises and invigorates. Outstanding!

Not sure why everyone’s hating on this, I enjoyed it.

Total was a near perfect album, with a sound and style that couldn't be confused with any other artist's. 8 years later, I preorder SebastiAn's newest album (which was released on my birthday) and excitedly begin to play it when every track downloads. Man, I was so disappointed. The songs he released before the album were seriously the only good songs on it. He's abandoned the gritty sound and has settled for something Z-100 would play. The songs are not exciting, they have no punch, no impact. They're tepid and repetitive. Is it too much to ask for one drop?? The entire album, you wait for some drums to kick in, some insane beat that turns the current song into an experience. Never happens. Other than Handcuffed to a Parking Meter, which has really dumb lyrics but does make me feel like I'm listening to a remix of a song that would have been so popular if it was released in the 80's, and the songs released before the album, Thirst just left me thirsty for me.

I don't hate it. I'm just disappointed to see Seb go down the well trodded and uninspiring "Made for Spotify" path. This is an album swinging for the streaming fences. As with most mainstream LPs these days, it is a tiresome slog of features and filler to meet streaming metrics. Take it from a die hard French House fanatic, your thirst for good electronic music can be slaked by something else.

It really is that bad. To work so hard, and then sit down with friends or peers and play this for them. Must have been hard to compliment it; so sad.
  • Sounds like electronic farts

It did not end well - there was irreparable damage, then this album was made

After a 8 year hiatus of no music he made this garbage. I cannot belive this is what Sebastian consisders to be him burring his old sound. All i heard was a bunch of sad boy lyrics with small glimpses of the old Sebastian here and there. There was so much potential and anticipation for this return only for it to fall far short of the classic fiery sound that had created his following to begin with.
