The man doesn’t miss5By kboeckelIn simplest terms, I wish I’d have heard this sooner. This album is perfect for driving around at night, on rainy days, even on sunny days just dancing around. It’s both soft and fun. 10/10
Heart Melting ❤️5By MagyilinSo many feelings ! Beautiful work of art.
Literally one of the best records this year5By tiaalmaLeslie Odom Jr. is a true artist. There is so much to love about this record. It feels like this music was almost intentionally written for millennials with so many throwbacks to the 90s and 00s pop sounds, but with a very modern sound. Add in some gorgeous symphonic interlude reminiscent of golden age Hollywood and classic musical theatre and you’re in for some serious ear candy. The dynamic arrangements are breathtaking. Standouts for me on the record are Go Crazy, Cold, and Remember Black. Remember Black in particular is a masterful piece as Leslie repeats the same lyrics through multiple genres telling the story of white appropriation (or rather, stealing) of black music and culture by white Americans. The brilliance of this song is how it shows the diversity of musical sound that is present in modern day music that can all be traced back to musical ingenuity by black Americans, all sung to the repeated motif “you ain’t got to give it back, just remember black.” This statement feels pretty generous from my point of view as a white songwriter who fell in love with gospel, jazz, and R&B and is constantly influenced by exactly what this song is about. This song is profound. The attention to detail is a master class in songwriting. Thank you Leslie Odom Jr. for making such a masterpiece.
THIS ALBUM IS AMAZEBALLS!!!5By BdeadLeslie’s voice is unlike anything I’ve ever heard!!! Effortless! Classic! Sultry! Smooth! Jazzy! There’s NOTHING he CAN’T DO!!! Every since I heard him singing “Forever Young” for the OBAMAS in 2016 I’ve been hooked! The way his voices captivates every note is unlike anything I’ve ever heard! Leslie’s voice is so pure and organic!!! Now that I’ve seen Hamilton it makes me respect his talent even more!!! He can rap too!?! Thanks again for sharing your magic with us!!! We need it, especially during these corona times!!! The last song on the album “Freedom” is the perfect little escape!!! Love you Leslie! Your new Fan for LIFE, Jasmine aka @JazzDid

Amazing5By LiLi-YoYoLeslie Odom, Jr never disappoints...EVER. I listened to the entire album three times back to back when I first purchased. I didn’t feel the need to skip not one song. He’s on a whole other level of pure musicality. Phenomenal! Thank you again so much Leslie Odom, Jr.
Classic5By Lenster911A wonderful blending of musical genres of r&b, pop, standards, and hip hop. Leslie's voice is incredible and smooth as silk. Glad I watched Hamilton to then be able to discover this album by an amazing talent.
