Taylor Swift – Begin Again

Released: 2012

Directed by Philip Andelman

Taylor Swift’s music video for “Begin Again” is a classic story of strangers falling in love at first sight. However, the video is far departure from the actual meaning of the song. The lyrics of the song focus around Swift’s first date after a disastrous relationship with her ex-boyfriend. The director decided to divert the music video from the song by making the video about two strangers meeting in a Paris cafe and slowly developing feelings for each other. If you’re in the mood to watch a Taylor Swift romance video, then “Begin Again” would be the best choice.

Taylor Swift – Mean

Released: 2011

Directed by Declan Whitebloom

The video for “Mean” shows bullied girls and Taylor Swift overcoming peoples hatred and eventually succeeding in life. The video highlights how trivial life’s problems become once you get older and ignore the haters. Taylor Swift’s bully experience in the video takes a more comical route by showing her strapped to train tracks in a vaudevillian type scene. Watching “Mean” will build your confidence and remind you that being bullied is just a passing phase.

Taylor Swift – The Last Time

Released: 2013

Directed by Terry Richardson

The simplistic video for “The Last Time” features Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol and Taylor Swift performing in Sacramentio for her The Read Tour. Throughout the video, Lightbody and Swift sing about love and gradually begin to acknowledge each-others presence on stage. The video interestingly shows the amount of emotion Swift puts into her performances and her audiences reactions. The video for “The Last Time” currently has 33 million views on YouTube.
