Paul Abdul – Straight Up

Released: 1988

Directed by David Fincher

The beginning of the video “Straight Up”, shows Paula Abdul tap dancing and finishing on a pirouette. Her routine is a perfect example of how tap dancing should be executed in a classic form.

After the beginning tap dancing sequence, the video moves with quick paced editing and a series of short dancing shots. Replicating any of the moves in the video is extremely difficult; however, it does provide good motivation to start coming up with your own original dance moves.
