The video for “Good Life” features Kanye West and T-Pain rapping in a black and white backdrop while color animation is rotoscoped into the footage. The colorful animation consists of the lyrics and images that are associated with the lyrics of the song. The video won several awards including “Best Special Effects in a Video” at the MTV VMAs and “Best Hip-Hop Video” at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

The stylistic black and white video for “Homecoming” displays Kanye West touring his hometown of Chicago. The choice to film in black and white was based on the concept of creating an atmosphere of nostalgia. The video beautifully portrays notable Chicago landmarks and the type of communities Kanye resonates with.

One of Kanye West’s greatest music videos, “Stronger”, was filmed in Japan, New York, and Los Angeles. After filming the scenes in Japan, West decided to spend an additional 10 weeks of editing the footage as well as reshooting scenes in New York and Los Angeles. The video also started a brief fashion trend for Alain Mikli shutter sun glasses.
